Top 10 biggest jumps in the world 2012
But if you have a yen to do some pretty crazy jumping yourself, you might want to try a pair of Powerbockers. Ever heard of them?
You might recognise them under the name Pro-Jump Exo Jumping Stilts:
Looks pretty cool doesn’t it…
They were originally patented by German Alexander Böck in 2003, hence the name PowerBOCKer . The use of the stilts to perform extreme jumping, running and acrobatics is known as ‘Bocking’ or ‘PowerBocking’. Although they look a little bit similar to the well-known South African paralympic runner Oscar Pretorius’ prothestic blades, they are not the same thing. Basically they are elastic-like spring-loaded stilts.
You can be as extreme as you wish with these – think free running and parkour, skateboarding and snowboarding all rolled into one. Check out the video….
If you’re thinking of rushing out and buying a pair, they are about $300 – $300+ in the US and between £100 – 200 in the UK. Make sure you buy a reputable make. Have fun and send us a video!
