Bungee jumping is one the bucket lists of many people which makes sense if you consider the guts required to participate in the sport. If the activity is on your bucket lists or you are just curious, you’ve come to the right place. I’ll take you through what to expect when you sign up for a jump. But there’s no accurate description for the experience. You have to jump to find out for yourself.

When you get to a bungee jumping spot, you can first stay at the viewing platform and watch people make the jump. You’ll see people of different ages making the jumps and chances are most of them aren’t even crazy adrenaline junkies. They are just people like you looking to push the limits of what they are capable of. While people may have mixture of emotions on their face – fear, anxiety, excitement – they are bound to return from the jump looking proud, relieved, and happy. And this should inspire you to take the plunge.

Ziplining

Ziplining can be intense especially if you go fast and on steep lines. And the good news is that Puerto Rico has some of the most incredible ziplines in the world. You’ll book more ziplining right after the first one. Puerto Rico’s ziplines are over lush forests and you get to take in the beauty of nature as you zoom across them.

Hiking

Puerto Rico has a tropical rain forest that’s a hotspot for hiking. And there are several great trials to hike on. Just make sure you are wearing appropriate hiking boots. The trails will take you to picnic areas, spectacular scenery like waterfalls, overlooks, and there is also the opportunity to see wildlife.

The challenging 5-mile (RT) El Yunque Trail and well-paved Big Tree Trail are two of the most popular hikes in Puerto Rico. Other notable trails include the Bano de Oro Trail, La Mina Trail, and the Caimitillo Trail.

Kayaking

A sport close to our heart, kayaking is one of the most popular adventure sports in Puerto Rico. And where better to kayak than the mind boggling bioluminescent bays that Puerto Rico is famous for? There aren’t many bioluminescent bays left in the world and if you live in or stay close to Puerto Rico, you should paddle at one of the bays.

Unfortunately, there are no opportunities to go bungee jumping in Puerto Rico. Your best best would probably be to travel to Florida to bungee jump.
