I’m afraid I have not read the book, but perhaps I should! I know Chris Bonington has had 19 expeditions to the Himalayas,including 4 to Everest. It was his ascent of Baintha Brakk that made such interesting reading for me. I did an article on it on the 4th September, 2009 – one of only two successful summits of the mountain. He must be quite a man as he is recognised as one of the great explorers of modern times.

Reading a book about the “Boys of Everest.” It states that it is basically about a climber named Chris Bonington…What do you think of the author’s position in regard to the climbers mentioned in the book, if y ou are familiar/
