Claire Gallagher surprised the ultramarathon world when she won the Leadville 100 trail run. At just 24 years old, Clare Gallagher ran the second-fastest women’s time ever at the Leadville Trail 100. This event is arguably among the most iconic trail races in the North America.

The “Race Across The Sky” 100-mile run started back in 1983. The race where limits are tested and young stars like Clare are molded. This extreme Colorado Rockies terrain from elevations of 2,800 to 3,800 meters. Majority is on forest trails with some mountain roads.

Clare’s successes on the trail have altered the path she thought her life would take.
