It’s non-stop thrills, spills and brilliant performances brought to you by Red Bull from exotic locations around the world.
This time up it’s Farm Jam, held on Dan and Brett Frew’s sheep farm in the beautiful rolling hills at the bottom of New Zealand’s spectacular South Island. The Farm Jam brings together BMX, MX and MTB once a year to ride the dirt jumps that are built with enormous attention to detail.
This event is now one of the world’s premier multi-discipline events combining natural-terrain freestyle motocross, BMX dirt and mountain-bike dirt-jumping.
Highlights of some of the best from the Farm Jam
Held last weekend, this annual event attracts the best riders from around the world, but due to a sharp increase in popularity and rider attendance over the past few years, the organisers, Dan and Brett Frew, were obliged to limit entry spots in all 3 events.
“While it’s exciting to see so many excited riders getting behind our event, it’s grown to the stage where we need to start capping entries,” said Brett. “It was a tough call, but in order for the Farm Jam to run smoothly and showcase the best action, it’s a necessary step we need to take.”
The “jam” formats see each sport judged solely by the riders, with significant emphasis placed on judging riders from other disciplines. Thousands of spectators flock to the highly-anticipated annual event.
Red Bull were not the only sponsors. Unit and Gravity Components and DVS Shoe also stepped in alongside the event’s existing team of smaller sponsors. It’s really good to see an event able to attract that sort of sponsorship. Hats off to the Frew brothers…
