The fifth annual “Cruise the Blues” mountain bike festival is Aug. 30.
The biking event, hosted by Palen Family Farms east of Tipton, is not just for performance racers, but the entire family.
The day starts with registration at 8 a.m. The five-hour race begins at 11 a.m. The course is designed with two interlacing trails. There will be concessions, clinics and a beginner’s skill course. A free children’s race is at 5 p.m. A hog roast and entertainment by Jimmy Lewin and the Kingtones will round out the day’s festivities.
Registration for racers before Aug. 18 is $50 a person or $90 for a two-person team, and $60 and $110 after Aug. 18. Registration for the joy ride is $30 a person or $50 for a two-person team before Aug. 18, and $40 and $70 after.
Registration forms and more information are available online at www.cruisetheblues.com.
