Thinking about adventuring? We’ve got some corkers. Chuck your guide book down the loo and sign up for a proper adventure…
The original Rickshaw Run India is sold out for the September ’12 and January ’13 editions, such is the popularity of wobbling across the sub-continet in a tin can with the raw power of a small lawnmower. But fear not…Rickshaw Run April 2013 places are available now. If your life will be incomplete without two weeks of glorious three-wheeled mayhem, you can sign up on the website. It’s popular though, so don’t hang about too long, or the doom-filled fate of the waiting list awaits.
Take on the Peruvian Andes and the Amazon Jungle in a sofa-bike. Places are up for grabs now on the September 2012 edition of the mighty Mototaxi Junket.
Rarefied adventuring stupidity, the Junket starts in Northern Peru in Piura and finishes two weeks later in the Sacred Valley in Cuzco. Possible highlights include the icy tops of Andean mountains, sweaty & muddy off road jungle tracks and getting stuck in the middle of nowhere. And pushing your Mototaxi up some hills. Sign up is open now on the website.
The South East Asia Rickshaw Run is having an adventurey make-over. We’ve got a new route that means more mountains, more jungles, probably more danger and a finish line in Bali – not a bad spot for a finish party.
We’ve opened up places for the January 2013 edition – taking on everything Indonesia can chuck at you in a crap Bemo Bemo rickshaw. We haven’t confirmed the exact start point yet, other than it’s in the Sumatran jungle, but this edition is already half-full. You can nab one of the remaining spots on the website now and worry about small details like where you’re starting from later.
The Ice Run is the newest, and possibly most dangerous addition to The Adventurists’ gaggle of adventures. Thunder along ice roads and frozen rivers in an old school Ural motorbike and sidecar. Cold weather adventuring right at the pointy end of the stick.
Places on the February 2013 edition are up for grabs now. The first thing to do is read the website, then fill out an application form. If you are offered a place we’ll send you all the info on how to officially sign up your team.
